There are at least 2 chapters in Las Vegas that I know of; however, they need to restablish themselves because they are short in the required membership of at least 20 membership. I started to work with a few people to start a Filipino Chapter if you are interested in being a part of it. In fact I am working on several other states to create Filipino Chapters in several States like California, Arizona, Washington, Chicago, and Texas.To start a chapter we need to have 20 members or more. I could help you with all the information you need with the help of the JCI USA as Janilee mentioned above. Why not plan to come to Hawaii to attend our Hawaii Jaycees 2nd Trimester Convention at Ala Moana Hotel, from September 12-14, 2008. We can tell you more about what we call an Extension, to extend another chapter like Las Vegas. Email me at jayceelegacy@gmail.com. Hi Bobby! Actually, I was a member of HFJCC a few years ago. I held both Membership VP & Newsletter Editor positions. I moved to Las Vegas in March of this year and was surprised to learn that they don't have a Jaycee chapter here. I looked online and Nevada had nothing. I was hoping that the Hawaii locals here would be interested in starting a chapter but so far I haven't heard from anyone yet. I don't know when I'll be back in the islands but I will checking back with the locals here to see if they're interested.
I just checked the website www.usjaycees.org, which is the sort of like is the headquarters for all state chapters and I checked their Directory under Member Resrources and unfortunately there is no Jaycee chapter in Nevada. How about you start one by contacting US Jaycees? The more Jaycees, the merrier =)
