Oktoberfest at the Ala Moana Hotel is the longest running Oktoberfest in the island.  This event is an international dine out.

Authentic German dishes, cowbells, polka and plenty of beer will usher in Hawaii's largest and longest-running Oktoberfest Oct. 7-12 at the Ala Moana Hotel. What started as a modest gathering has evolved into a celebration for thousands of people seeking a Bavarian experience in the middle of the Pacific.

Food stations will feature massive portions of German fare, including bratwurst, sauerbraten, giant knackwurst, pig knuckles, sauerkraut, apple strudel and Black Forest layer cake. A wide selection of German beers will flow liberally. And live music from the Edelweiss band will keep guests dancing well into the night.

The festivities take place in the Hibiscus Ballroom 6 to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday; 6 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday, and 5 to 11 p.m. Sunday. The official keg tapping ceremony takes place 6 p.m. Oct. 7.

Admission is $7 per person on weekdays and Sunday, and $12 on Friday and Saturday. Purchase tickets through the Ala Moana Hotel's Concierge or at the door.
